Q:  When does school start for the 2021-2022 year?

A:   The first day of school is September 1, 2021; the last day of school is May 27, 2022.

 

 

Q:  When does the school day start and end?

A:   Kindergarten (8:30-12:00 p.m.)  1st through 8th (8:30-3:00 p.m.);  Students may enter the classroom at 8:15 to organize for the day.

 

 

Q:  Is lunch provided by the school?

A:  Sorry, no. Students need to bring a snack and sack lunch to school. A microwave is available. We will occasionally offer special catered items on special Fridays.

 

Q:  Is there a dress code?

A:  Yes, there is. Students' uniforms may be purchased from Tommy Hilfiger https://www.globalschoolwear.com/. Alternatively, uniforms can be purchased from www.DennisUniforms.com

 

 

Q:  Is transportation available?

 A:  Sorry, no.

 

 

Q:  What is the cost of tuition for the 2021-2022 school year?

A:   Tuition is $3,000 (Grade 1-8) $2,000 (Kindergarten) $4,000 (Grade 9-12)

Registration and Curriculum are extra and are paid upon registration. Registration (non-refundable unless not accepted) is $150 for new families and $75 for returning families

Curriculum is $238 (for K); $345 (for grades 1-12)

Q:   How much homework can be expected?

A:   As a general rule, a student can expect to do about 15 minutes of homework per grade level—1st grade 15 minutes, 2nd grade 30 minutes, etc.; however, students who use their time wisely will often not have homework.

 

 

Q:  Who are the teachers?

A:   Mrs. Katie Jacobson (Classroom Administrator); Mrs. Marcy Roberts (Director of Marketing). Mrs. Cherie Terry. Parents will be asked to volunteer in the classroom, as two adults are required at all times.

 

 

Q:  What curriculum do you use?

A:  Abeka is the publisher of math, Bible, spelling, and phonics curricula. Excellence in Writing provides the composition curriculum; Cursive Logic is the beginning cursive program, Memoria Press is the publisher for literature and Latin, and Well-trained Mind is the History curriculum.

 

Q:  What does discipline look like?

A:  We partner with parents, who have ultimate responsibility on the raising of their children, and lovingly and consistently teach children the joy found in obedience, service, and accomplishment.  More details are outlined in the handbook.

 

Q:  Is the school a part of a sport or extra-curricular league in which my child can participate?

A:  Any sport/activity that we do not offer is open to our students in their given school district.

 

 

Q:  As a parent, may I attend classes, help, and observe?

A:  Yes!  Although it is not required, we encourage and need parents’ support and involvement.
